Where We Work
Proudly Serving Detroit’s Historic Neighborhoods
At Detroit Historic Builders, our work is deeply tied to place. We exclusively serve Detroit’s Historic Districts, where every home, building, and block tells a story worth preserving.
Why Historic Districts
Detroit’s designated Historic Districts are home to some of the city’s most architecturally rich and culturally significant properties. Working in these areas requires more than general contracting—it takes knowledge of period-appropriate materials, restoration practices, and local regulations.
Our team is well-versed in working with the Detroit Historic District Commission (HDC) to ensure compliance, obtain permits, and meet all design guidelines.

Live Outside Detroit?
